DLO Direct™ offers two individual tests or a combined panel that can help detect or monitor a diabetic condition.
A diabetes management panel is a grouping of two common tests, a blood glucose screen and a hemoglobin A1c test.
This test is performed to identify the glucose level in your blood to detect if you have low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) or high blood glucose (hyperglycemia), and can determine your risk for diabetes or a pre‐diabetic condition.
A hemoglobin A1c test helps identify those at an increased risk of developing diabetes, as well as monitor a diabetes patient to help in treatment decisions. The A1c test evaluates the average amount of glucose in the blood over the last 2 to 3 months by measuring the percentage of glycated (glycosylated) hemoglobin.
